My Principles
Self Ownership
I believe that each individual has the right to self ownership. By that, I mean you have a range of control over your body and your personal property. It is not for the the government to decide what you do or do not put into your body. Nor, is it for the government to infringe upon your property rights so long as you are not interfering with the property or peaceful rights of others.
Individual Liberty
The smallest minority is the individual. As an individual, you have the right to life, liberty, and property. Individual liberty focuses on the rights of the individual, not on the best interests of a collective group. As an individual, you have the right to believe, act, and express yourself freely, again, so long as doing so doesn’t interfere with the individual liberty of others.
Limited Government
Government should be limited by the authority granted to it in the Constitution. Those powers are limited to protecting life, liberty, and property. When the government regulates outside of those simple means, it has overstepped its boundaries. We must work to bring government back to a much limited form in order to have more liberty in our lives. This means lower taxes, abolishing government bureaucracies, and protecting personal property rights.
